Demi Moore, 50, and Cher, 66, sport identical unlined foreheads at star-studded film event

She has vehemently denied ever having gone under the knife.

But Demi Moore's face looked suspiciously taut and wrinkle-free on Wednesday night, so much so that she bore an unnerving resemblance to fellow guest and plastic surgery devotee Cher.

The 50-year-old actress sported a completely smooth face as she posed on the red carpet in a sheer black outfit at Target's AFI Night At The Movies event at the ArcLight in Hollywood, California.

The Charlie's Angels star looked healthier after her recent dramatic weight loss following her split from ex Ashton Kutcher.

Demi donned a black chiffon pantsuit with white sleeve cuffs and a collar, revealing a lacy black camisole underneath.

She wore her trademark dark hair in long loose waves over her shoulders and kept her makeup simple, highlighting her eyes with black liner and her lips with a rosy tint.

Cher, meanwhile, looked like Demi's sister with her similarly monochrome, sheer outfit.

The singer showed off her slender figure in black leggings and a see-through cream-and-black patterned top that she paired with a black blazer and leather boots.

She wore her black hair long and straight over shoulders, and added a pop of colour with a light pink lipstick.

In a 2009 interview with French Marie Claire, Demi flatout denied ever having had any surgery.

'It’s completely false, I’ve never had it done,' she said. 'But I would never judge those who have. If it’s the best thing for them, then I don’t see a problem.'

She added that 'holding up the ageing process' with surgery doesn't solve the core issue. 'It’s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won’t make you happy.

'That said, the day when I start crying when I look at myself in the mirror might be the day when I'm less adamant about not having it done.

Cher, on the other hand, has openly admitted to having had surgery on her nose, mouth, and breasts, but nowadays she is quiet about what she has had done, stating, 'If I want to put my [breasts] on my back, it’s nobody’s business but my own.'

The Target event celebrated the best in American film, with 13 classic movies all shown on one night, each introduced by an actor or filmmaker linked to the flick.

Cher was introducing her film Moonstruck, for which she won an Oscar, while Demi was presenting her cult classic Ghost, in which she costarred with the late Patrick Swayze.

Also at the event was Sally Field, who looked incredible with a chic shoulder-length haircut and sequined top.

She was joined by Shirley Maclaine and Kathy Bates, who donned a pair of quirky blue tinted glasses.
