Usher steps out Russian-style fur hat complete with tail and dip-dye sweatshirt as he arrives at LAX
It appears as though Pharrell Williams may have a challenger for the most ridiculous hat, after Usher stepped out in a furry number on Thursday.
The Get Lucky star has rarely been seen without his giant Vivienne Westwood fedora, which became the unlikely star of the Grammys, as well as the BRITS, on Wednesday evening.
However, Usher also got in on the action with his own eye-catching number when he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.
U Remind Me...: Usher was spotted arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday in some rather strange headgear
The 35-year-old was hard to miss in the Russian-style get-up, which featured a tail at the back, and pale fur design.
Not stopping there, Usher also opted for bold footwear in the form of a pair of gold trainers complete with matching laces and embroidered stars.
The rest of the Confessions singer-songwriter ensemble was in stylish grey, and included a dip-dye sweatshirt and loose-fitting chinos.
What is it? The singer-songwriter opted for a

through the airport
Double take: The confessions star's hat, which
he was spotted in earlier in the day at LA's James Perse, gave Pharrell
Williams a run for his money
after he wore an eye-catching fedora to the Grammys last month (R)
The star was spotted picking up some items at LA's James Perse earlier in the day, wearing a plain grey T-Shirt.
His outing came on the same day that Jeffrey Hubbard was convicted of homicide by vessel for the death of his stepson Kile Glover in a jet ski accident in 2012, reports MTV.
Kile was the son of the singer's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, who he married in 2007 but divorced acrimoniously two years later. They have two children together.
Making a statement: The 35-year-old teamed his furry number with a stylish grey dip-dye sweatshirt
Letting his hat do the talking: Earlier in the
day, Usher had stepped out in just a grey T-shirt which showed off his
toned and muscly arms
OMG.. what an ensemble: Usher also opted for
some bold shoes in the form of a pair of gold trainers, complete with
matching laces and three embroidered stars
Meanwhile Pharrell put his large brown hat up for auction this week with bidding scheduled to end on March 2 - and noted the winning bidder will receive a letter of authenticity.
The bidding opened at $200 and the high bid in just hours had reached $10,500.
The Oscar nominee for Best Original Song for Happy from Despicable Me 2 will direct all proceeds from the charity auction to his non-profit From One Hand To Another foundation.
Coordinated: The father-of-two finished off his ensemble with grey loose-fitting trousers before getting into his silver 4x4
Nostalgic: The US star shared a number of
childhood snaps with his fans on Thursday, including one of him and his
then-baby brother
