He may not have landed the role of Thor in the Marvel movies, but Alexander Skarsgard still proved himself to be a Norse god.
The Swedish actor stripped to his underwear, donned a blonde beard and a horned hat as he arrived at the South Pole after an arduous 200km charity trek.
But it's not the first time the 37-year-old True Blood star has flaunted his muscular body in the freezing temperatures.

Alexander shared a picture of his naked self on a toilet last month, as a way to mark his incredible achievement by taking part in the charity expedition across Antarctica in which Prince Harry also participated.

The toilet photo was posted on Instagram by Inge Solheim, Alexander's team guide on the Walking with the Wounded Challenge.

The True Blood star represented the US Team Noom Coach, Prince Harry for Team UK and The Wire's Dominic West served as Ambassador for Team Canada/Australia.

The arduous trek raised money for wounded soldiers and involved three teams representing the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada/Australia.
Initially a race, a few days into the trip it was decided the competition aspect would be canceled due to inclement weather and treacherous conditions.
All three teams made it safely to the South Pole on December 13.

This funny photo of Alex comes just after his ex-girlfriend Ellen Page came out as gay in an emotional speech at the Human Rights Campaign's Time To THRIVE conference for LGBTQ [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning] youth in Las Vegas on Friday, noting that she is 'sick of lying by omission.'

It appears as though Pharrell Williams may have a challenger for the most ridiculous hat, after Usher stepped out in a furry number on Thursday.
The Get Lucky star has rarely been seen without his giant Vivienne Westwood fedora, which became the unlikely star of the Grammys, as well as the BRITS, on Wednesday evening.
However, Usher also got in on the action with his own eye-catching number when he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.

His outing came on the same day that Jeffrey Hubbard was convicted of homicide by vessel for the death of his stepson Kile Glover in a jet ski accident in 2012, reports MTV.
Kile was the son of the singer's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, who he married in 2007 but divorced acrimoniously two years later. They have two children together.

Evidently keen to protect her identity from prying eyes, the singer covered her head with a large black umbrella as she boarded the plane with the assistance of a minder.
Looking casual in black leggings and wedge-heel trainers, the music superstar managed to hop on the jet without any eagle-eyed snappers catching sight of her face.
The star arrived in Glasgow on Monday night, where she and her team carried out a seven-hour rehearsal at the SSE Hydro to ensure her routine is perfect ahead of her performance at the Scottish venue on Thursday and Friday.

Pulling an all-nighter, the Daily Record newspaper reports the star arrived at the stadium shortly after 10pm, and perfected her dance routines, wardrobe changes and song choices until 5am on Tuesday morning.
Beyonce is believed to be staying at the luxurious Mar Hall hotel, where she resided when she played T in the Park festival in Balado, Scotland, back in 2011.
A source told the Daily Record: 'Beyonce wanted  to make sure everything  was perfect for the start of this leg of the tour  so she arrived in plenty of time over the weekend to run over her numbers and routines.'

The father of former pop singer Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee was in good cheer as he kicked back on the sand wearing Bermuda shorts and the obligatory pair of shades. 
Joe – a former minister – was accompanied on the day by a shirtless male companion, and the pair topped up their tans while sprawled on neighbouring sun loungers.

Meanwhile his young pal ventured into the cool Atlantic waters, revealing a nicely toned physique in the process.
Joe is currently enjoying a sunshine break in Miami almost a year after finalizing his divorce from Tina, Jessica and Ashlee's mother, after 35-years of marriage.
